- La France a été la cible d’une nouvelle attaque terroriste. Cela s’est passée dans L’Aude, dans le sud ouest du pays. Un homme, fiché S a tué 3 personnes et a blessé 16 autres dont deux sont dans un état grave, et à l’issue de la prise d’otages dans un supermarché, l’auteur a été abattu par les forces de l’ordre.
France has once again been the target of a terrorist attack. It happended in the Aude region, in the south-west of the country. A man with an S card has killed three people and has injured 16 others, two of whom remain is a serious condition, and after a hostage-taking in a supermarket, the perpetrator was killed by the police.

- L’attaque a été revendiqué par l’organisation état islamiste. Tout a commencé à 6h du matin dans le quartier Cité des Oiseaux à Carcassonne, l’auteur ouvre le feu sur une voiture, tuant le passager du véhicule et blessant grièvement le conducteur. Au Volant de la voiture volée, l’homme se dirige vers la caserne CRS et ouvre le feu sur quatre agents qui rentrent d’un footing. Il tire à plusieurs reprises, blessant l’un des fonctionnaires. Dans l’après-midi du 23 mars, 2018 il pénètre dans un supermarché du Trèbes, en tirant plusieurs coups de feu.

It all started at 6 o’clock in the morning in the Cité des Oiseaux area of Carcassonne, the perpertrator opens fire on a car, killing the passenger of the vehicle and seriously injuring the driver. At the wheel of the stolen car, the man drives toward the CRS barracks and opens fire on four agents coming back from a jog. He fires repeatedly, injuring one of the police officers. In the afternoon of the 23rd of March, 2018, he enters a supermarket in Trèbes firing several shots.

- Il se dit prêt à mourir pour la Syrie et sollicite la libération de Salah Abdeslam, dernier survivant des commandos du 13 novembre 2015 à Paris. Il tue un client et un employé. Un gendarme Le Colonel Arnaud Beltrame est arrivé sur les lieux et propose au terroriste d’etre pris en otage à la place de la libération de la cinquantaine de personnes présente à l’intérieur du magasin. L’auteur de l’attaque a «tiré à plusieurs reprises sur le colonel qu’il a blessé grièvement». Dans la nuit du vendredi à samedi Arnaud Beltrame est mort des suites de ses blessures.
He said that he was ready to die for Syria and looks for the liberation of Salah Abdeslam, the last surviving commander of the 13th of Novemeber, in Paris. He kills a client and an employee. A police officer, Colonel Arnaud Beltrame arrived and offered to be taken hostage in exchange for freeing about fifty people already inside the shop. The perpetrator shot the colonel several times seriously injuring him. During the night, Arnaud Beltrame died of his injuries.

- La prise d’otages s’est terminée par l’assaut des forces de l’ordre en début après-midi. Président Macron qui a été à Bruxelles pour une réunion est revenu en urgence à Paris pour une réunion de crise.
The hostage taking ended in an attack from the police in the early afternoon. President Macron, who was in Bruxelles for a meeting, came back to Paris urgently for a crisis meeting.

- «De nombreuses investigations sont en cours pour déterminer la provenance de l’arme, les circonstances pour se la procurer et les éventuelles complicités», L’auteur de cette attaque est un marocain âgé de 26 ans, Redouane Lakdim connu par les forces d’ordre pour les faits de petits délinquances.
Numerous investigations are on-going to determine the provenance of the weapon, and the circumstances in which it was obtained as well as possible accomplices. The perpetrator of this attack is a Moroccan, aged 26. Redouane Lakdim, known by the police for petty criminality.
