"My daughter has found French notes to be a very useful companion to her Leaving Cert French studies and revision. The website is very easy to navigate and my daughter found the diary entries, verb drills and vocabulary sections to be very beneficial to her revision plan. We would have no hesitation in recommending French Notes as a study aid to any student."

"As a leaving cert year student, I found french notes revision courses and weekly grinds extremely beneficial. Liz puts in so much effort for her students to achieve their best results. If you struggle with french, this is a great facility and I highly recommended this service!"

"I first came across Liz on Snapchat and this immediately caught my attention because I felt she seemed to be up to date and in touch with her students. I subsequently discovered that she ran workshops in Mary Immaculate College in Limerick covering specific topics in great depth with a booklet containing extremely beneficial notes each time. Despite having to travel 2 hours to each workshop I attended all twelve of them as well as a practical oral workshop prior to the oral exam. I think this indicates how highly I rate Liz. She is extremely invested and knowledgeable in the language of French. Her expertise and exam preparation down to the finest details ensures that students targeting a high grade in French will achieve their goal. I found her approachable, kind and helpful and always available even outside workshop times. Thank you so much Liz for all your help and hard work."

" Liz is one of the most inspiring teachers I have ever had. She transformed my French grade through her unmatched teaching and never ending support and not only gave me confidence in the fact that I could achieve what I wanted in French, but somehow gave me the assurance and certainty that I could succeed in every other subject too. I always looked forward to going to her classes even on the worst of days, because I knew that I’d come out in a better mood no matter what. This is something that is so unbelievably rare and that is the lifelong goal of so many teachers but comes so naturally to her. I attended both her weekly grinds and her intense revision courses and both were outstanding. She goes above and beyond for her students, she was always there to help at any time and I cannot thank her enough. If you are struggling and want the tools and guide to excel in French, I cannot recommend Liz more, my only regret is that I didn’t meet her sooner. Thank you millions for everything."

"I began my studies with Liz in October, nervous and overly aware that my standard of French was perhaps not as high as many others who would be attending the course, however Liz's incredibly kind and caring nature made me feel welcome and at ease from the moment I reached Mary I. Her support for each of her students both inside and outside of the classroom was undeniable, helping us in any way possible- from answering our questions on social media to preparing us for the oral exam over the phone. Without Liz I could not have achieved the result that I did. Her fresh and unique teaching methods majorly improved my understanding of the language, transforming French from a subject I was struggling with to one of my strongest. I truly appreciate everything Liz has done to help me and I cannot recommend her highly enough to other students."

" Elizabeth Lyne Hayes is an excellent teacher. My son, while bright did not engage with the subject in school and we decided to send him to the French Notes classes. What we found was a teacher who was professional in her approach to teaching but more specifically the French language. Elizabeth made the subject interesting and relevant, the result being that my laid back son changed his attitude to learning French. Elizabeth’s handouts and notes were at all times clear and well researched. Indeed she produced a range of packages to suit students who had different interests to help with essay writing. These included up to date and relevant topics on politics, the economy, and social and cultural issues. She also had a way of getting the best out of every student she came into contact with even the most laid back of her students. Our son got an excellent result in his leaving certificate but it was his attitude to learning that has left its mark for ever."

"My name is Sophie and I attended Frenchnotes.ie courses that are held in Mary I. I attended all 12 of the courses in 2017/2018 including the oral workshop and I think this shows how much I enjoyed and how beneficial I found this courses. I believe they were the only reason I achieved my H1 in French. The course content at the start was difficult but as they went on I found them easier and easier. This wasn’t because Liz was making them easier it was because my French was developing and improving. I loved the way that every course focused on a particular topic because once I left that room I knew that I had that part of the course covered. The small classroom sizes made sure everyone got Liz’s undivided attention throughout the four hours. I found Liz very helpful and understanding throughout all the courses. The booklets you receive at every course were very helpful as they included vocab, listening exercises, and grammar points all relating to the topic. Liz’s attention to detail with the booklets ensures every student reaches their highest potential and I would highly recommend these courses to anyone no matter the level of French you have. Thank you so much Liz for all your hard work."

""Mam, French is a very interesting language to learn and I really enjoy it” This quote coming from my seventeen-year-old daughter was like music to my ears. This time last year she hated French, thought it was a stupid language and wondered why she had to learn it! So why the turn-about? I can only attribute it to her tutorial class with Liz Hayes of French Notes. A weekly class since September has seen not only a new-found love of French but also a higher grade in school exams. Liz’s mastery in French combined with her positive attitude and engagement with the small class of students makes learning enjoyable and fun.
Liz covers the curriculum and stretches students to cover and discuss current affairs and relevant topics. Exam skills and strategies are also offered. Looking forward to next term when the focus will be on oral French. Thank you, Liz, for the turnaround!!"

"Liz is an absolutely fantastic French teacher. I started her grinds shortly before Christmas, and within a few weeks, my accuracy and fluency improved tremendously. Not only did my French improve, but I really enjoyed and looked forward to her classes. She created a great atmosphere with lots of laughs. Liz goes above and beyond for every student. She made me feel so much more confident facing into exams and orals. I would recommend to every French, Leaving and Junior Cert student."

"I am delighted to see my former star student (and our top graduate in French) Liz Hayes putting to such good use her formidable mastery of the French language, not to mention her passion and her skills as a teacher. Inspired and inspiring, she engages 100% with her students and is capable of bringing out the very best in them while still making the learning experience supremely enjoyable. A rare and exceptional motivator, extremely attuned and responsive to her students’ needs.Bravo et bon succès à Frenchnotes.ie!"

"For me the French Notes revision courses saved my leaving cert French grade and really sparked an interest in learning the language. During each course Liz would explain and break down the most difficult aspects of the language to ensure we could understand and improve our aural, oral and writing skills for our exams. The environment of the courses was always friendly and Liz ensured we never felt under too much pressure. I cannot recommend these courses and Liz’s teaching enough! Without her I would have never achieved the grade I did!"

"We didn't find out about Liz until second term of 6th year, but wow is all I can say. Liz put my daughter at ease about her French exam straight away. She went through everything for the Oral and really tweaked the language and pronunciation with her. For the written exams Liz went through papers and even corrected an exam paper for her which gave a good insight to what level she was at. I couldn't recommend Liz enough. I have been singing her pauses and already have given her name and number to friends and colleagues that have kids doing exams next year. 5 star rating, would highly recommend!!"

"I just want to thank you so much for the workshops. They gave me so much more confidence in my french and my quality of writing increased so much! The small classes meant I learnt a lot more and I was able to participate more in the class in comparison to at school. I enjoyed every workshop and really saw the benefits in my exams and in my understanding of french. Thanks so much for everything."

"Hi Elizabeth!
I just finished my Leaving Cert last week and your notes were a lifesaver. I found the site super easy to use and it was easy to find the notes I was looking for. There's such a wide range of resources available and it really put me at ease going into the exam that I had learned some of them. The notes are very practical and I was able to use them a lot in my opinion pieces. I would highly recommend French Notes to anyone who is worried about their exam or needs extra material to learn. Following French Notes on Instagram also provided some helpful reminders!"

"I was delighted with my A1 last year and I don’t think that I would have achieved this result without your help. I found the notes on the written section excellent and my class mates had nothing like them."

"I went to French lessons with Liz every Tuesday throughout 6th year and thoroughly enjoyed them. I learned so much in even just one lesson. I also did a workshop and learned new ways to remember verbs and vocabulary and also had the craic while doing so. Got excellent notes and worksheets too. Would definitely recommend!!"

"Liz is probably one of the most dedicated, focused and hardworking teacher, this country has to offer. Her impeccable gift for French, together with her flawless technique influences our ambition to learn. She makes French very accessible and explains the mechanics of the language so that anyone could understand."

"I have been a member of Frenchnotes for a year and have found it to be an invaluable resource. Having had 3 sixth year groups this year it gave me a multitude of ways and ideas of how to present the material to all levels. The sample answers are written in a clear and accessible manner and all come with a very useful section containing the key constructions and vocabulary. I was very happy to see comprehensions that are linked to several key areas of the course such as drugs in sport and the housing crisis. This is something that would take hours to compile. One of the things that impressed me the most was how current frenchnotes is. The topics of fake news and the mobile phone ban which featured on this year’s leaving cert paper were covered by frenchnotes this year. The grammar is presented in a very student friendly way. There are also plenty of exercises to reinforce the material. The integration of grammar and comprehensions that is furnished on frenchnotes is a fantastic way to learn. The sample postcards and notes for Junior cert are very useful for revision. Having corrected both Junior cert and Leaving cert French I would highly recommend frenchnotes to all teachers and students. If you want your finger on the pulse for everything topical in leaving cert French look no further than frenchnotes."

"I found the French Notes revision courses extremely enjoyable and beneficial throughout 6th year. The focused courses once a month were very useful because I didn't have the time to attend weekly grinds. The content is challenging but it sets you up for the exam because when you practice leaving cert papers it seems a bit more manageable."
